All Skunk2 headers are designed and engineered to maximize exhaust flow and increase both horsepower and torque throughout the powerband. The unique design is the result of more than a decade of racing experience coupled with computerized modeling and extensive dyno testing. Each Skunk2 Alpha Header features equal-length, sequentially paired, stepped primaries and a 4-2-1 tri-Y design that terminates into a collector with a 2.5-inch outlet. These features, paired with Skunk2's unique design specs, provide an extremely broad powerband that's applicable to a wide range of engine sizes and configurations. Alpha Headers also feature the smallest possible primary tubes required to achieve optimum overall and peak power. By minimizing the primary tubes' diameter, Skunk2 is able to maintain the highest possible exhaust gas speed throughout the header, which improves mid-range power and throttle response significantly. Skunk2's Alpha Header provides the perfect combination of top-end power without sacrificing mid-range performance or throttle response.

This thing is pretty much the go-to for bolt ons for the civic. I give it 4 stars because it does NOT include the NEEDED O2 sensor extender which is another $60... frustrating. The part itself is good, but a lot of people swap out the Skunk2 donut gasket with one from the EP3 since it is a bit better seal. I used the one that came with the Skunk2 and made sure to TQ the spring nuts correctly. Note that you will also need to buy (got mine from ACE hardware) spring bolt nuts (I think they were M8x1.25?) and a 2.75" gasket.

Overall its very much worth it

Pros- power increase, vtec is stronger more louder Cons- the donut gasket leaks and falls apart, skunk2 doesnt provide springs and screws to fit on your car and oem is too short, have to buy your own bolts washers and screws to fit a aftermarket exhaust. Do your research on screws before you get it but its worth it, comparing price and power and that all headers leak very worth it
