Acura RSX Immobilizer and ECU Removal
The steps you need to follow if you need to uninstall your ECU or immobilizer
by Chris Dye • September 05, 2024
Tools Required
- Ratchet
- 10mm socket
- Phillips screwdriver
Step One
Remove the plastic covers around the steering column.
Step Two
Remove the screw (to the right of the picture) on the immobilizer.
Step Three
Remove the screw on the back of the immobilizer (hard to see in this picture). The immobilizer should pull right off at this point.
Step Four
Remove the panel underneath the glove box. There are three clips that you have to press in using a small phillips screwdriver. Take a 10mm socket and remove the three bolts holding the ECU on. There are two on each side and on the back next to the firewall. Unplug all the connections on the ECU.
