Revel 02-06 RSX Type-S Medallion Touring Catback Exhaust Reviews

The package arrived with slight damage to the exterior of the box, but the contents was well packed and undamaged. All the necessary gaskets and hardware were included. Installation was straight forward, the only problem encountered was with contact with the rear anti-roll bar. Minor tweaking of the mounting bars to move the muffler to the left 1/2 an inch solved the issue. The sound is deeper than stock and only slighty louder and idle and when on the throttle. I also installed a DC Sport short stainless steel header at the same time. It's hot here in The St. Louis area and the performance seems better. Usually with the AC on and the temp in the high 80's, acceleration is less than normal. However, I had the opportunity to run it up to red line in 1st and 2nd yesterday in the heat and it didn't even notice that the AC was on. I've had this car for twenty years, I picked it up and the dealer in August of 2001. Routine maintenance and very minor modifications ( K-Tuned shifter and cables, K&N intake, and some interior touches) have kept it fresh and fun to drive.

As mentioned by prior reviews. This exhaust has a nice finish. Full stainless system including the b pipe. Welds are nice. Fitment was spot on, no rubbing issues. Very happy with this exhaust. The note is refined not raspy or cheap sounding. Sounds great paired with my race header.

I bought this exhaust for my 02 RSX-S almost a year ago. I picked this over other great exhausts available here because it isn't overly loud and has a very nice, refined sound. Plus, that SS finish is gorgeous! Too bad you can't really see it. At low RPMs this exhaust isn't quiet but louder than stock with a nice sound. At high RPMs or WOT it has a nice, deep sound that really complements the engine. Believe me, when you WOT and hit VTEC you won't be calling this a "quiet" exhaust even though it is quieter than some. I personally love the sound! It is perfectly street-able and "mother-approved" for daily driving while offering a great sound when you open it up. Would buy it again! Check out Tanabe's site for some example sound clips.

The Tanabe Touring Cat-back Exhaust isn't much louder then stock, but it does give off a nice tone. It's not ricey nor to loud to annoy neighbors. I love it at times and hate it, due to the fact it quite. But end of the day I also love it.
