AEM 02-06 RSX Type-S Silver Cold Air Intake Reviews

I bought this to replace my injen shirt ram because I was tired of the heat soak. I have used AEM in the past and have always been pleased. Over all I am pleased with this intake. It was a good performance gain over the short ram. The only issue I have with the system is the replace my washer bottle would not fit correctly. I ended up ordering the Injen replacement bottle and it fit perfectly. I think AEM could spend some more time on design other than that it's a great intake!

wow this intake is amazing!. no hydrolocking. if your car is all stock you cant hear the vtec very well but with this mod it makes vtec scream. its a great first mod. in my opinion its the best out there. it has this awesome whistle while driving that could make people who dont know anything about cars think its turbod. stop searching and buy this. hands down flawless. A++

This intake kit has some issues when installing. The front bumper cover needs to come off, it's very easy. Windshield washer reservoir design is not the best. The bolt spacing on the reservoir is very tight. The fill tube does not line up correctly. The pumps are not in the stock location. The Injen reservoir appears to be a better design. This intake is dark gray not the silver that CRSX indicates which makes me happy. The best two best things about the intake are the sound and the CARB sticker.

This is a great intake, arrived fast and was pretty simple to install. As expected had a little troubel with the washer bottle replacement, the power harness for the pumps ended up being too short to reach the connectors on the replacement bottle. The sound is amazing, and sounds especially mean after the vtech kicks in. Great performance increase on my 05 type-s, with no other mods (yet). Considerable improvement in power all accross the rpm range. Definitely recomending this product for everyone, but especially for a first mod.

Very good intake system. Would recomend to all for the best invetment for significant gain. Installation is a little tricky. had a little problem with the washer bottle because the stock 10mm bolts are too small for these washer bottle so be prepared to have some long bold to secure these in place. The intake sounds mean and the VTEC does sound nice. Did make a big difference on my 2003 Supercharged RSX Type S

i got the intake. thank you club RSX . installation was quick, i was lazy for the container, but i love my intake sound. i replaced filter with a fujita one, wow im satisfied . thank you club rsx

I picked up an an older version of this intake which comes with a relocater kit for the stock washer bottle. Fitment is great, just make sure you follow the directions closely and check that it clears the gearbox in all gears before putting everything back together (learned this the heard way). Requires cutting some of the splash guard as well which isn't too difficult. Everything fit and built quality was A+ in the kit I got. Would definately recommend.

I purchased the AEM intake with the impression they made a high quality intake. The first problem I encountered during installation was the stud broke of the insulator mount with light torque applied by a short open end wrench. The second problem I encountered was the mounting holes in the washer bottle were not far enought apart. Thinking the mounts were solid I tried to file one of them into a slot. Mistake! I filed thru and made a hole in it. I expoxied the hole shut then had problems getting the fill spout to line up. I had to rig the mounting with spacers to get it to install correctly. Overall I had the bottle in and out 3 times and the intake is mounted in place with zip ties until I can get a resolution on the mounting.

I haven't really seen a difference because I recently put my AEM COLD AIR INTAKE (RED) in with an HKS EXHAUST SYSTEM(highly recommended best performance catback system) but the AEM looks nice hidden inside the front of my car and hopefully will keep my engine cool for a long time. Good equipment though.
