I I bought this intake expecting minimal gains because of the whole heatsoak issue. However, this intake really changed the way my car runs. I have a 2.5 in exhaust and Hondata reflash, and the car pulls nicely. After installing intake, the most noticeable gains were realized from 4-7k rpms. There are some gains up top, but not as pronounced. Low end torque was also increased, not by much but enough so that it is no longer annoying to take off from lights with the lack of torque our cars are known for. This thing is LOUD at VTEC crossover, it caught me completely off guard at how loud it is inside the cabin now and how nicely it roars. at light throttle between 2500 and 3500 rpms there is an odd whistling sound, almost like the sound of a turbo spooling. This could be annoying for some, but I personally like it. Quick stabs of the throttle will make it obvious that you have an aftermarket intake. Now, I do have two complaints. First, installation was not as easy as it should've been, I would've liked a tighter fit between the elbow and intake tube and perhaps an arrow pointing to the correct position when attaching the elbow to the throttle body. Second, when you start the car and it is cold, it makes a really annoying induction sound (1800rpms or so). This will go away after it is warmed up, but it is worth noting. I also have a custom air duct that I made using the bottom hose of the stock airbox and some rubber ducting connecting it to the grille and cutting a hole. In theory, it should cool off the area around the filter, and if not, it should provide the filter with a direct feed of cool, outside air. So look no further, this is a great mod!

delivery ontime from crsx store, intake elbow connecting to the throttle body does not fit exactly snug as theres a small lip on the tb side and it rubs on something. aside from that install was great, great performance for the money only thing i dont like is that it makes a high pitched whistling noise between 2-4k at partial throttle (confirmed by another crsx member i had take a look at) not sure what is causing it but it can get annoying on the highway as it sounds like constant turbo spool.

Easy to install and well made. These newer Injen intakes come with an Amsoil air filter. I was dissapointed in the fact that they redesigned these intakes but they did not fix the air intake temp. sensor fitment and your small vacuume hose barely fits. Install time took about 45min.s the first time. Second time (had to have some warranty work done) took under 20min.s. 1k miles later and I haven't had any issues.

As I drove around with this intake for the first time, I immediately knew it was worth the slightly-skinned thumb and sweat. First off, be patient with the rubber grommet that connects the throttle body and intake tube. Second, install the temperature sensor grommet BEFORE setting the intake into place; because of the awkward angle, mine promptly fell into the intake tube, and I had to start the process over. But MAN, this intake is worth it, if only for the banshee-esque scream in VTEC and the unearthly growl at low RPMs. There's even a nice little bump in power at higher RPMs. Thanks to ClubRSX for the efficient shipping and to Injen for making an awesome short-ram.

The product had good fitment, looks nice, and performed alright. It was a good addition, though it didnt really give me much of a kick compared to the gutted stock airbox. I'd like to pick up a cold air and compare, instead of the short ram.
