good intake
victor | May 2nd, 2011
The V2 is pretty good. I went from the AEM CAI to this after nearly hydro locking twice and u can definitely feel it get sluggish when the engine gets real hot. Not a deal breaker though. Would have went with the injen short RAM if i would have seen the dynos that crsx did on these intakes earlier. 4 stars for the price, it had a small dent on it and didn't have the AEM V2 logo on it.
AEM V2 Short ram intake Review

I got the AEM V2 short ram intake from a local shop. Install was fairly easy as everyone else said. I would give this Intake 4/5 stars because it is a great product, but I would say it is not worth the extra cash. It is almost $100 more than other short rams and gives you practically same gains. The intake sounds awesome during Vtec and looks good under the hood. I would consider saving buying another intake and using your savings for other mods.

This thing is really good, The only reason one would not be able to install it is if he/she were missing thumbs. The electrical isn't really electrical its plugging, so no one should complain. Performance wise my car's gas millage was not affected as far as I can see. It has an amazing sound and great performance despite the surprise of how the mouth is the same size as the stock air filter then gets bigger towards the filter end. Aesthetically it looks really good to.
great product

If you're looking for a SRI you should definitely consider the AEM V2 intake. I'm not sure how much more power the dual chambers give you, but it definitely gives you power you can feel. Not to mention, it makes your car sound AMAZING! I have experienced heatsoak with this intake which hinders performance in hot weather or when the engine is fully warmed up. But it looks great, gives decent power/torque, and sounds awesome.
