After removing your factory airbox, the Injen intake tube is directed directly behind the front bumper to acquire colder, direct air. The larger and cleanable Injen air filter then goes on the end of the intake tube. I installed this onto my 2013 Civic Si Coupe and the results came out fantastic! It had a pretty tight fit and the instructions were very easy. However, it is NEXT to the battery, so I'd probably keep the plastic covering just in case. Anyhow, by giving it a couple of revs, you can really hear the air being sucked in, and Hitting VTEC is very noticeable! I would definitely get it if you want more sound and a bit of gains.

This is a great intake for the 9th gen si! I have a 2012 civic si coupe and the install was super easy if you have any mechanical knowledge at all. You can hear intake noises very well and I am not currently running any tuning at all and you can feel added power in VTEC! If you’re looking at this I would highly recommend getting it!
