Compatible with the 2012-2015 Honda Civic Si, 2009-2013 Acura TSX, 2008-2012 Honda Accord, 2010-2014 Honda CR-V, and 2013-2015 Acura ILX, this replacement gasket is engineered from a high-temperature insulating plastic to reduce heat transfer from the cylinder head to the intake manifold. The result is cooler, denser air entering your engine—improving efficiency, consistency, and horsepower.

By insulating the intake manifold and bypassing key heat sources, the Hondata Heatshield gasket can lower intake air temperatures by up to 30°C in certain driving conditions. On average, real-world testing shows a 10°C temperature drop, translating to roughly a 3% power increase. In drag racing or performance driving scenarios, this temperature reduction means your car reaches peak power sooner, without waiting for the intake to cool mid-run.

Honda’s factory manifold design allows heat transfer in multiple areas, effectively turning the aluminum intake into a reverse intercooler that heats incoming air by as much as 50°C. Since air density drops 1% for every 3.3°C (5°F) rise in temperature, this heat can significantly rob your engine of power. The Hondata Heatshield gasket solves this problem, offering immediate gains in both consistency and throttle response. For maximum results, further reductions are possible by bypassing the throttle body and idle control valve heating, similar to Type R intake designs.

Each kit includes the insulating gasket and detailed installation instructions, with a race-only version available for those running full bypass setups.
