FlashPro includes Hondata’s FlashProManager software for Windows, giving you complete control over ignition timing, fuel delivery, boost levels, and more. With live tuning, 20 hours of onboard datalogging, dual map storage, and custom laptop gauges, it’s the most complete tuning solution available for the FK8 platform. And because it connects through the OBDII port, no permanent modifications are required to your ECU.
The purchase of this FlashPro requires that you remove and send your ECU to Hondata for their jailbreak service. The jailbreak service is not free and is not included in the price of the FlashPro. After the purchase of this FlashPro, we email you instructions on how to order and schedule your jailbreak with Hondata.
Before FlashPro can be used with the factory ECU, your Civic Type R ECU must be jailbroken. This is a one-time procedure and is required for all 2017–2021 FK8 models.
- 2017–2019 FK8: Use Hondata’s Instant Jailbreak Service via their website (one-time $250 fee).
- 2020–2021 FK8: These models require the Hondata Jailbreaker module to temporarily bypass the CAN gateway and allow for the jailbreak process.
The Hondata Jailbreaker is a reusable tool designed specifically for the 2020–2021 USDM Civic Type R. It allows enthusiasts and tuners to easily perform an ECU jailbreak with no permanent modifications. The device integrates seamlessly and is an essential first step for unlocking the full tuning power of FlashPro on late-model FK8s.
