BEST COLD AIR INTAKE OUT THERE!
Rod A. | August 20th, 2020
I have been using an AEM short ram intake along with other bolt ons, obviously better than the stock intake, and it has been fine! I purchase the INJEN CAI in order to use it a hondata refresh effectively with the other bolt ons. Absolutely blown away with the performance! Even if I didn't have the reflash and other bolt ons, it is a great product in comparison to a short ram intake! Installation was not terrible, I am a novice when it comes to working on cars, so roughly it took an hour or so watching YouTube videos and skimming though the manual (I didn't have to take the battery out and do the whole flipping and drilling etc.). Everything was straight forward having the right set of tools and patience. My only hesitation is the reservoir holes not lining up with the frame, but still 5 stars due to the fact that it works fantastically with the Hondada refresh and other bolts ons!

I highly recommend this CAI! It's perfect for what I need. I was worried it would be too loud. You don't start to hear the roar until after 5K RPMs. Then when vtec hits it sounds so deep and throaty. My engine is actually louder at idle. Just follow the directions . I had some trouble with the new reservoir lining up. So I ended up giving it a gentle pry with a long flat head. You also have to move that wiring harness up a little so it sits flush against the mounting point. Don't forget to have extra grommets for the bumper. I recommend buying a case of them from Amazon same quality as OEM and low cost. Enjoy!
Great CAI; Washer Reservoir is a pain to install.
Drax Delfico | July 16th, 2018
You definitely have to do quite a few modifications to install this CAI but once you do, you will definitely appreciate and enjoy it! The major issue is not the CAI itself but installing the included washer reservoir. Once you uninstall the original, you have to cut a 4"x5" hole in your splash guard (for the CAI) and you have to break the weld on your battery bracket for the CAI to fit through. Not too bad but tedious and annoying. The washer reservoir is where there were a lot of issues. I don't know about everyone else, but on mine, Injen did not get the measurements right (I have a 2002 Type S). I had to dreamed the holes where the bolts go because none of the three holes in the washer reservoir lined up properly with my car's. It added a lot of extra work. A one hour tops job ended up turning into a 4.5 hour job. However, I still give this 4 stars as now that the work is done, I really appreciate and like the CAI a lot. I honestly don't notice a difference in sound like others have, but I do notice a difference in performance (torque-wise) but I think due to a combination of the new CAI and a new cat-back Skunk2 exhaust. Overall great CAI. Definitely purchase a prefilter sleeve to go with this though!
Best beginner mod

I've had this CAI on my 02 type-s for 6 months now. Took roughly 2 hours to put on. I would say that there was a noticeable increase in throttle response and aggressive intake noise. As far as horsepower, it doesn't make much of a difference until your car is either reflashed or tuned.
You can feel the power
Luis Barrientos | September 12th, 2016
Just like my title says, you can feel the power when you first take it for a spin. When I have the A/C I felt s lot of lag, but with the CAI the lag lessened and game my K20 more life to live! The sound is amazing! And the power is felt. They say it increases MPG but I haven't noted a difference, but that may be because I can't stop flooring to hear the VTEC crossover.
The sound...

This product is straight up amazing... Sounds way better than my short ram intake. Right after the install, I let my car idle for about 15 minutes and took it out for a spin in a 95 degree weather day. HOLY POWER! The amount of power the car still had after idling in the heat for 15 minutes is amazing. Before with my short ram intake the heatsoak was crazy, but with this i don't feel any power loss. And the install only took like an hour! Great product.
Smooth Product

Installation was a breeze as long as your patient. The vtec crossover is amazing you can truly hear it. Not sure about the power but one thing is for sure the sound is there.
sounds agressive!

I think this sounds better than my short ram injen intake. Breathes in cooler air. Checked the IAT for Sri on a hot day and its about 130 degree or more in the engine bay and with the cold air intake is about 70-90 degree.
Oozes swag

The Injen CAI is an engineering masterpiece, took me and a buddy 2 days to install because stock hardware fucking sucks, but other than that the finished product rips shit up! Snorty as all hell, pulls like a truck, you can feel the torque, great intake!
I like the sticker too
st3 | December 4th, 2014
Got the thing in like 2 days lol awesome. Though after looking at my engine then looking at the box I figured I get it professionally installed. Took them a couple hours, but its in and runs like a champ. Sticker is pretty cool too
The Best

I ve had Sri and now Cai and so far I love Cai. It makes a huge difference in summertime. Don't have to worry bout heat. Only thing is be prepare for a lil cosmetic modification. I had to cut out a lot of the plastic covers. Other than I recommend this Cai
awesome
alister steinhauser-brooks | April 7th, 2013
Not much to say install was straight forward, and o didn't have to remove the bumper. Sounds great with a little more umph. Only down side is my car runs a little lean due to the fact that I have it so air is forced into the intake via the fog light hole.
Best CAI! Great service from k series parts!
ChrisP | January 10th, 2013
Hardest part of install is removing old airbox and that was pretty easy. Came with instructions that were extremely clear and had pics. Great service and fast shipping!!
Awesome

Bought it on the 9th and recieved it on the 11th, A+++ for awesome shipping time. It was pretty easy to install as well took me about 3 hours total. At 3500 rpm+ it roars and pulls way harder than a stock airbox. even felt a little bit more throttle response.
CAI > any other intake
Daniel Koffer | November 30th, 2011
Product was in mint condition, install was easy ( done it many times, lol ) Night/Day difference over the stock intake or even a sri....Only down side is the rain. Just don't be a moron and WOT it in a lake and you should be fine.
Excellent
Phil-Doe | November 7th, 2011
This intake is perfect for the RSX Type S. Tuned just for it you can just hear how much air it's sucking in. But I've also got Buddy Club Race Headers.
GREAT!!!!
DC5-92 | August 11th, 2011
This CAI is pretty awesome...picked up some mid and high end power...but the best part is the sound, from about 3500 and up it howls. love the vtec sound!!! i highly recommend this for a first performance mod.
Its all that its been hyped
Josh Martinez | March 19th, 2011
pretty much this worked like a charm. Install takes time if you wanna have a clean install. but the outcome is just unmatched. VTEC crossover is so nice. And i picked up MPGs
Great CAI!
DC5michaelt | October 16th, 2010
Install was straight forward. Love the results, get good top end power. No complaints
