The Turbosmart TS-2-7170B-VR107E TS-2 7170 Kompact Turbocharger is a high-performance, reverse-rotation turbo engineered for applications demanding serious horsepower, rapid transient response, and compact packaging. This specific configuration combines a 71mm compressor inducer, 70mm turbine exducer, 1.07 A/R turbine housing, V-band inlet and outlet, external wastegate configuration, and reverse-rotation architecture. Unlike Turbosmart's TS-1 oil-cooled series, the TS-2 utilizes both oil and water cooling, helping manage center-housing temperatures in demanding street and motorsport environments. On the hot side, a 713C Inconel turbine wheel provides the temperature resistance required for extreme exhaust gas temperatures. Turbosmart also CFD-developed the housings for optimized flow and reduced backpressure and VSR speed-balances each turbocharger for high-speed operation.

Installation & Application
- The TS-2-7170B-VR107E is a universal performance turbocharger, not a vehicle-specific bolt-on replacement. Installation requires a properly designed exhaust manifold, external wastegate system, downpipe, charge piping, oil feed and drain plumbing, and coolant feed and return plumbing. Turbo sizing should also be matched to the engine's displacement, intended RPM range, fuel system, power goal, and intended use.
