We are pleased to announce the release of the first RV6 Tube and Fin Front-Mount Intercooler (IC) for the 11th gen Honda FL5 Civic Type R and 5th gen Acura DE5 Integra Type S. This product has been designed by us over the course of the last 1.5 years and will deliver the cooling performance improvements needed by users with both OEM turbos, our turbo upgrades, and other aftermarket turbos. According to our research, we chose the extruded square internal tube and fin design for the best cooling rate, low weight with high strength—unlike traditional tube-and-V-fin designs—and its ability to deliver an optimal cooler core. Overall, there is a weight reduction compared to the typical bar and plate designs, which are much heavier yet do not have the longer-term cooling efficiencies required for intensive use or track conditions.
