But if you are looking for a more exciting driving experience, stiffness and rigidity are not their strong points. Under heavy lateral loads, these unibody chassis are designed to be compliant, which is not ideal for spirited daily commutes or tight aggressive cornering while at the track. PRL now offers a solution to fix this issue.
PRL Motorsports is proud to now offer Mid-Rear Chassis Braces for the 2016-2021 Honda Civic. These braces bolt into key structural points of the chassis and lock them in place, limiting chassis movement and increasing chassis rigidity. Our brace attaches to the frame rails behind the rear wheel line to stiffen the rear end of your Civic and allow for precise handling and easier rotation in corners.
The brace bars are constructed of 304 Stainless Steel and TIG-welded for ultimate strength and longevity. In addition, all the fittings and adapters used to mount the bars are also constructed from 304 Stainless. We included Grade 10.9 mounting hardware, so that even when exposed to harsh conditions, these Chassis Brace Kits will stand the test of time with excellent corrosion resistance.
