Restore a proper throttle plate seal and improve idle consistency with the Hybrid Racing HYB-RSK-00-05 Throttle Body Super Sealer Kit. Designed to address unwanted air leakage around the throttle body butterfly plate, this simple maintenance kit applies a thin graphite coating between the throttle plate and bore to create a more effective seal when the throttle is closed.
Air leaking around a closed throttle plate can contribute to high, unstable, or inconsistent idle behavior, particularly with aftermarket or previously serviced throttle bodies. Hybrid Racing's graphite Super Sealer helps minimize this leakage while maintaining smooth operation of the throttle plate. It's suitable for Hybrid Racing K-Series throttle bodies as well as many OEM and aftermarket throttle bodies with a similar butterfly-valve design.
The kit includes a graphite Super Seal marker and two alcohol preparation wipes, providing the essentials needed to clean and reseal the throttle plate. One marker contains enough material to treat approximately 3–5 throttle bodies, depending on bore diameter and application thickness.

Application Notes
- For proper results, the throttle plate and bore should be thoroughly cleaned before applying the graphite coating.
- Hybrid Racing instructs users to apply a thin, even coating only to the appropriate contact surfaces between the butterfly plate and throttle bore.
- After application, the throttle plate should remain closed and undisturbed for at least six hours to allow the coating to cure.
- After curing, gently opening the throttle plate breaks the initial seal and allows normal operation.
Fitment Note:
- HYB-RSK-00-05 is a universal throttle body maintenance product, not a vehicle-specific component. Although designed around Hybrid Racing throttle bodies, it can be used on many other throttle bodies employing a similar butterfly plate design. Always verify the direction of throttle plate movement and follow the correct sealing procedure before application.
