Product Details
Restore the proper operation of your Acura RSX hood release system with the Genuine Honda OEM Hood Release Cable Assembly. Designed specifically for the 2002–2006 Acura RSX Base and Type-S, this factory replacement cable provides the fitment and dependable operation needed to release your hood from inside the vehicle.
The hood release cable is an essential component of your RSX's hood latch system, connecting the interior hood release handle to the latch mechanism at the front of the vehicle. When the release handle is pulled, the cable transfers that movement to the hood latch, allowing the hood to be opened for routine maintenance, inspections, and engine repairs.
Over time, the original hood release cable can become stretched, frayed, corroded, or damaged from repeated use and exposure to moisture and temperature changes. A worn or broken cable can cause the hood release handle to feel loose, become difficult to pull, or fail to release the hood entirely.
Manufactured to Honda and Acura's original equipment specifications, this genuine OEM hood release cable assembly features a factory-correct design and Graphite Black interior release components. It is designed to follow the original cable routing and connect to the factory hood latch system without custom modifications.
Whether you're restoring your Acura RSX, replacing a broken hood release cable, or completing an OEM restoration, this genuine Honda replacement is an excellent choice for maintaining factory functionality and reliability.
