The Honda OEM Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor is a genuine factory replacement designed for a variety of Honda and Acura applications, including the 2002-2004 Acura RSX, 2002-2004 Honda CR-V, and select Honda Civic, Accord, Element, and Acura TSX models.

The MAP sensor plays an essential role in engine performance by monitoring air pressure inside the intake manifold. This information is sent to the ECU, allowing the engine management system to calculate engine load and adjust fuel delivery and ignition timing for proper combustion.

Over time, MAP sensors can fail due to heat, vibration, electrical faults, or contamination. A malfunctioning sensor may cause rough idling, hesitation, poor fuel economy, reduced engine performance, or a check engine light.

Installation Notes

Before installation, inspect the MAP sensor electrical connector, wiring harness, and surrounding intake components for corrosion, damage, or contamination.
Disconnect the factory electrical connector and carefully remove the original sensor. Inspect the sensor mounting surface and sealing O-ring, replacing the seal as required.
Install the replacement sensor according to Honda's factory service manual, ensuring it is properly seated and secured using the specified tightening torque.
After installation, reconnect the electrical connector, clear any related diagnostic trouble codes, and verify proper engine operation.
