The Honda OEM Air Fuel Ratio Sensor is a genuine factory replacement designed for select 2012-2015 Honda Civic, 2016-2022 Honda HR-V, and Honda Accord Hybrid applications. Also known as the upstream oxygen sensor or Bank 1 Sensor 1, this component plays an important role in maintaining proper engine performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions control.
Located in the exhaust system before the catalytic converter, the air fuel ratio sensor monitors oxygen levels in the exhaust gases and sends real-time information to the ECU. Installation Notes
- Before replacing the sensor, inspect the electrical connector, wiring harness, and surrounding exhaust components for damage. Confirm that the original sensor is faulty through proper diagnostics, as exhaust leaks and wiring issues can produce similar symptoms.
- Allow the exhaust system to cool to a safe working temperature before removal. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the original sensor using an appropriate oxygen sensor socket.
