Upgrade your engine’s performance with the Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket, designed for the B16A engines found in the 1999–2000 Honda Civic Si and 1994–1997 Honda Del Sol VTEC, as well as the B18C5 engines in the 1997–2001 Acura Integra Type R. This high-temperature insulating gasket replaces the stock intake gasket and significantly reduces heat transfer from the cylinder head to the intake manifold, keeping incoming air cooler and denser for improved combustion efficiency.
By limiting heat soak from the engine, the Hondata Heatshield Gasket can lower intake air temperatures by as much as 30°C in certain driving conditions, leading to up to 5% more power. Even during everyday driving around town, temperature reductions of around 10°C can be achieved, resulting in noticeable gains in throttle response and engine efficiency. Cooler intake air improves air density, allowing the ECU to deliver more fuel for better performance and optimized power output.
The gasket is designed to bypass multiple heat sources, including the throttle body heater, idle control valve, and interior heating takeoff hose. Installation of the gasket, along with optional race-specific bypasses, ensures that intake temperatures remain consistent during spirited driving, track sessions, or drag events.
