Build an AWD K-swapped EK Civic with the Hasport EKKAWD K-Series AWD Engine Mount Kit. Designed specifically for the 1996–2000 Honda Civic (EK chassis), the EKKAWD allows installation of a Honda K-Series engine with a CR-V or Element AWD manual transmission while using an EG Civic or DC2 Integra front subframe.
Hasport's EKK system uses its dual-height mount design and patented flip mount, allowing both K20 and K24 engines to maintain similar cylinder-head positioning despite their different deck heights. This helps maintain consistent placement for headers, intake systems, and turbo components while optimizing the drivetrain position for axle alignment, ground clearance, and hood clearance.
Using the required EG/DC2 subframe also positions the K-Series engine farther back in the EK engine bay compared with Hasport's stock-subframe K-swap configuration. This provides additional space for the radiator and A/C compressor, making the EKKAWD an excellent foundation for serious street, drag, and competition AWD K-Series builds.

This kit is specifically designed around the EK Civic chassis using an EG/DC2 front subframe.
The EKKAWD configuration is designed for:
- K-Series CR-V AWD manual transmissions

Required EG/DC2 Front-End Components
EKKAWD does not work with the factory EK front subframe. Installation requires:
- 1992–1995 Civic EG or 1994–2001 Integra DC2 front subframe
- Compatible EG/DC2 steering rack
- Compatible EG/DC2 lower control arms
Bushing Options
- U62A – Street: Best suited for street-driven vehicles
- U70A – Race: Firmer option for aggressive street and competition use
- U88A – Extreme Race: Very stiff option for dedicated performance applications
- U94A – Most Extreme Race: Maximum polyurethane stiffness for serious race builds
Higher-durometer bushings provide greater control over drivetrain movement but also increase noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) transmitted into the chassis.

The kit provides the primary K-Series drivetrain mounting solution; AWD conversion components such as the transmission, transfer assembly, driveshaft, rear differential, axles, rear suspension/drivetrain components, and chassis modifications are not included.
Important Fitment Note:
- EKKAWD is specifically for a 1996–2000 Civic using an EG Civic/DC2 Integra front subframe and compatible CR-V/Element K-Series manual transmission. It will not work with the stock EK subframe. An AWD conversion requires substantial additional drivetrain and chassis components beyond this mount kit.
