Bring modern K-Series performance to the fifth-generation Honda Prelude with the Hasport BB6K K-Series Engine Swap Mount Kit. Designed specifically for the 1997–2001 Honda Prelude (BB6 chassis), the BB6K provides a purpose-built mounting solution for installing a Honda K-Series engine with several popular K-Series manual transmissions.
Hasport designed the BB6K with a dual-height mounting system that helps optimize engine placement for axle alignment, ground clearance, and hood clearance. The design keeps cylinder-head positioning consistent between engine configurations, helping simplify the fitment of intake systems, headers, exhaust components, and turbo setups.
Available in three transmission-specific configurations—BB6K2, BB6K4, and BB6K5—the BB6K system supports transmissions from the RSX, Civic Si, Accord, and TSX. It can also be installed in Prelude chassis originally equipped with either an automatic or manual transmission.

The BB6K is a mount-kit family, so the correct version must be selected according to the transmission being used:
- BB6K2 – RSX and 2002–2011 Civic Si manual transmissions
- BB6K4 – 2003–2007 Accord and 2004–2008 TSX manual transmissions
- BB6K5 – 2008–2013 Accord, 2009–2014 TSX, and 2012–2015 Civic Si manual transmissions

Dual-Height Design
One of the key advantages of the BB6K system is its dual-height design. Hasport engineered the mounts to optimize drivetrain placement while keeping the cylinder head in a consistent location. This can make it easier to maintain proper fitment of:

Bushing Options
- U62A – Street: Most street-friendly option for daily-driven vehicles

- U94A – Most Extreme Race: Maximum drivetrain control for dedicated race applications
Higher-durometer bushings provide greater control over engine movement but also increase noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) transmitted into the chassis.
Construction
- Hasport Performance mounts are engineered using modern CAD/CAM design methods. Retailer specifications for the BB6K describe the mounts as being constructed from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and CNC machined for strength, accurate fitment, and a clean appearance.
Installation Requirements
- The BB6K is a swap mount system and does require modification to the Prelude engine bay. Hasport specifies that the stock transmission bracket on the frame rail must be modified, with Hasport retailers more specifically describing this step as cutting/removing the factory bracket. Once the required chassis preparation is completed, the BB6K provides the mounting system for the K-Series drivetrain.
- Additional swap components will be required depending on the engine and transmission combination. These can include axles, intermediate shaft, shifter and cables, wiring/ECU solution, cooling-system components, intake, exhaust/header, fuel-system components, and other swap-specific hardware. Hasport also offers supporting products for this conversion, including wiring conversions, ECU modifications, axles, and swap accessories.
Important Fitment Note:
- BB6K identifies Hasport's K-Series swap mount family for the 1997–2001 Honda Prelude. The correct BB6K2, BB6K4, or BB6K5 version must be selected based on the manual transmission being used. The kit works with originally automatic or manual chassis, but modification of the factory transmission-side frame-rail bracket is required.
