The Chemical Guys Cyclone Dirt Trap Car Wash Bucket Insert helps protect your vehicle’s finish by trapping dirt, sand, and other abrasive particles at the bottom of your wash bucket. Designed for use with standard car wash buckets, the insert creates a separation zone that keeps contaminants away from your wash mitt, sponge, or brush during cleaning. This reduces the chance of transferring grit back onto the paint and helps support a safer, more effective hand-washing routine.

The Cyclone Dirt Trap features a contoured surface that encourages debris to settle beneath the insert while allowing clean soapy water to circulate above it. As you rinse your wash media against the insert, dirt is released and held below the cleaning surface instead of remaining suspended in the wash solution. Using a dedicated rinse bucket with the Chemical Guys Dirt Trap can further improve wash control and help minimize the risk of swirl marks and light surface scratching caused by loose contaminants.

The durable black insert is easy to place in and remove from the bucket, making it a practical addition to regular vehicle detailing. Its straightforward design works well for cars, trucks, SUVs, and other painted surfaces that require careful washing. Pair it with Chemical Guys wash soap and quality microfiber or wool wash media for a complete exterior cleaning setup. The Chemical Guys Cyclone Dirt Trap, part number DIRTTRAP01, is a simple bucket accessory for detailers who want a more organized and paint-conscious wash process.
