Each drain plug incorporates a powerful magnetic stem designed to attract and retain small ferrous metal particles circulating through the engine oil or transmission fluid. Capturing these particles at the drain plug can help prevent them from continuing to circulate through critical internal components and also provides a useful visual indicator of internal wear during routine fluid changes.
