ACUITY designed this Shift Boot Collar Upgrade to allow the use of virtually any M10x1.5 shift knob in your Honda or Acura while delivering a seamless fit and finish between the shift boot and shift knob. Over the years it has become the go-to for enthusiasts looking for a clean, trouble-free way to secure their shift boot. The new V2 design improves fitment and ease of use even further.
The kit now features a single, newly designed dual-position binding nut that accommodates both flat-bottomed knobs and boss-bottomed knobs, like those on the modern Civic Type R and Honda Factory Performance models. The premium boot collar is reversible and can be flipped to match your knob's base diameter, whether it is an older narrow-bottomed style or a modern wide-bottomed knob.
An integral retaining feature lets you easily pop the boot collar on and off repeatedly, so you no longer have to worry about snapping fragile OEM plastic boot rings when removing your shift knob.
The V2 design also addresses a common frustration with modern interiors: boot wrinkling. These new V2 kits include a textured rubber Wide Boot Adapter Sleeve that fits perfectly around the collar to accommodate shift boots with larger openings, like those on modern Hondas and Acuras, ensuring a sleek, wrinkle-free appearance.
The supplied collar is turned from billet aluminum before receiving its anodized finish; markings are laser-etched after finishing for long-lasting durability. The binding nut is turned and milled from durable stainless steel and features precision flats for a 12mm open-ended wrench, giving you the high-end feel and incredibly simple install that ACUITY is known for.
