What ISN'T described in detail is the WEIGHT of this beautiful piece. Fit and finish is fantastic and something that would look clean in any setup. I paired this with a full setup from Acuity Instruments, and I can't picture a better shifter combination!!

The one thing that surprised me was the surface texture when shifting. Yes its nuch heavier than OE but even if i had this installed just last week. Its not even temperature sensitive. I would recommend.

Got this to replace my worn out stock knob. Everything about it is nice even the packaging. It's so smooth in your hand and effortlessly glides into gear. Fixed my notchy 3rd gear. It's nice and heavy and feels about twice as heavy as the stock knob. Highly recommended. Props to k series parts too for the fast shipping

Installed on 2013 Honda Civic si. No issues installing. Can definetly feel the difference shifting gears.

This is our second one on our second Honda. It is priceless!! I cannot imagine life without it!! I love the heavy weight. I makes an already easy car to shift, that much easier. Just slides into gear. Paired it with solid shifter base bushings and spherical shifter cable bushings for a great combo! Like others have said (and it was the same on our last car), it's FREEZING in the winter, and pretty warm in the summer. It's really not that big of a deal, you just forget about it and put your hands on it and are like, "whoa, oh yea". Don't let it keep you away from this incredible, simple, effective upgrade! Plus it looks really sharp. We added the $15 shifter adapter with it, but a zip tie on the underside of the shifter boot should be similarly effective.

Went from using a Sparco shift knob to this. The weight makes the throws on my short shifter feel like butter. Owned my RSX for 4 years and this is the best shift knob I have ever had.

I bought this shift knob after growing tired of the TWM m1 Abraham shift knob and was looking for something different. Let me just say that this shift knob weight 440g and it feels great with my buddyclub short. shifter.

Only reason I didn't give five stars was because the shift numbers don't line up when you screw it in . Then again I have a buddy club short shifter other than that great product .

Best Shift knob I have ever purchased. Deceptively heavy, makes for great throws.

I've felt many other shift knobs before and this design fits my hand the best. It has a great weight to it which effortlessly throw it into a gear without feeling like you have to force it into every gear with the stock knob. It matches every interior and has a smooth red engraved shift pattern on top to give it a little class. Also has "Skunk2" subtly printed down the side

This product is deceptively heavy but in a good way. The extra weight improves shifting feel to smooth fluid shifts. I do not have a second gear grind/crunch anymore and third has not popped out yet. Excellent shift knob.

Looks awesome and has a great feel

After almost three months with this knob, I don't know why I didn't get one sooner! Really nice weight to it, it's surprisingly heavy when you first pick it up out of the box. The weight give is a super nice feel over the lightweight stock knob, in my opinion. Plus the looks are hard to beat. It's a very dark gunmetal and the red shift pattern really pops. Looks awesome.

I always thought that aftermarket shift knobs and the benefits they boost were a joke, but after my oem knob broke and I replaced it with this knob it really changed my point of view. It has a really nice look, and the extra weight makes my shifts feel much better. It is absolutely worth it.

Real heavy, u can feel the quality , looks real sharp

This knob feels great, only downside is that it gets extremely hot in the summer, even with my windshield screens in sometimes it's barely touchable.

great great great buy. skunk2 always comes through on top of everything they do. great weight n size. havent had it in the heat yet but it gets cold n stays cold. thats the only down fall. im lovin it everytime i shift...

Shifts much better and smoother with this knob. Much heavier than the OEM knob. Helps alot with the unfortunate 3rd gear grind. Overall a great knob and looks better than any other knob I've seen. Highly recommended.

Very solid and has good weight to it. I love how it rolls in your hand during shifting. So much better from the plastic stock knob

i have bought two of these shift knobs. the first on a year ago for my friend. and the recent one for me. the one i bought for myself is a bit darker than his, which i like, and also, it has swirls on top where the red numbers are that weren't there when i first got it. over time seems like more appear. i don't know why but it does and it makes it look like they are scratches. really bothers me because that never happened to his. i guess i got unlucky... anyways its a good shift knob bc its heavy and feels a lot better when you shift.

Good overall shift knob. Quality construction and nice visual appeal. Nicely weighted to help shifts with the short throw. The only problem is it gets a little cold. Would buy again if stolen.

The shift knob has a great weight to it, making it easier to shift. Dramatically changed the look of the interior. Definitely recommended for the price

Totally worth the money, it got here in about a week, the color and red inscriptions for the gears is nice too, it matches with the red lights of the dash, and if you have black interior like i do, this shift knobs matches and goes perfectly with the interior, nice weight, great grip in your hand, just makes you want to get shifting all day haha, definitely good buy

I love the weight of this knob....made shifts nicer even with the stock shifter.... recently coupled it with the bcss and am amazed at how solid the whole set up feels. you can go to wal mart and buy a $10 shift knob if you want a pos just to try to make it look better or you can spend the extra cash and get this knob that has great looks and superb quality.. it really is more than just a knob!

This knob is the bees knees. Paired it up with a Buddy Club adjustable short shifter after reading reviews on here, and I agree 100% that this is worth every penny. Shifts are smoother, easier, and better weighted with this knob and it looks and feels like top-notch quality. Highly recommended to anyone with a short shifter to help shifts glide right in.

i bought the bcss n figured i'd try out this knob with it. the price might seem much for just a knob but it's more than that. the weight and the feel of the knob makes shifting so much smoother and easier. the combination of the bcss and the skunk2 knob is perfect ;)

Does get incredibly hot in the summer, and ice cold in the winter. But that is with any steel shiftknob. Just cover it with a light colored washcloth in the summer to eliminate 90% of the heat issues. Great weight, makes shifting much smoother, and the install was a breeze.

It is true that it does get hot in the summer and cold in the winter but what can you except from steel. The product is great and it makes shifting a lot easier and smoother. It almost seems like the shifter just slides into place which is a great plus. Now if you are afriad of the knob burning your hand just cover it up and if you are worried about it freezing your hand wear some gloves, or you can be like me a have a compustar automatic car starter and depending on the season you can aim an air vent at the knob to make it more comfortable to the touch.

and recieved my shift knob in less then a week, im satisfied makes shifting quite faster makes you want to speed up to get a chanc to shift again. only complaint gets hot when placed under the sun. its all good . 2 thumbs up

This knob feels great. It's quality is great, and the extra weight is a plus. It also looks really good compared to the stock one. Just don't get mad when it gets really hot in the summer and really cold in the winter. It reminds me that it is truly a well made product.

I switched this out from my scratched up stock one and noticed the difference immediately. It weighs quite a fair bit, since it is steel. As the previous reviewer stated, it can get hot or cold, but most of the time for me it stays at a reasonable temperature. It has a nice texture, looks good, and the weight makes your shifts feel purposeful and its easier to "throw". It tucks in real well with the stock shifter, take off the boot from your old one by pulling down, get the one and put the bolt on nearly as far down as you can, then get the knob and push it down and align it while tightening it how you want and the boot will just stick right in with the bolt covering everything up. You are left with a smooth shifter connected to your boot. The biggest disadvantage to me is not the hot or cold, but rather it isn't an ergonomic shift knob, which doesn't bother me that much, but it would be a plus.

While I enjoyed the feel and weight of the shift knob it does have several draw backs. Since the shifter is made of steel it has the tendancy to either fry or freeze your hand. In the summer if I parked in the sun for more than 30 minutes I'd come back and burn my hand. In the winter a good investment would be gloves of some sort considering the shifter is almost always freezing. If you live in a pretty mild climate or are using the Skunk2 knob on a car that isn't daily driven I'd give the product 5 stars. Otherwise because of the drawbacks I am only giving it 4.
