I haven't had gas struts on the hood of a car since my 88 Legend. The addition of these struts to my 02 RSX Type-S really classes up the appearance when the hood is up. The struts hold the hood higher than the factory strut in the lower hole but lower than the upper position. It holds the hood well out of the way when working under the hood and relieves concerns about the wind when the hood is up. For those of us who love these cars and treat them well, this is a very nice touch.

These hood dampers add a nice touch and premium feel to your engine bay. They lift the hood just a bit further than the stock hood prop, which can be removed with the battery out. Installation is easy and only takes a few minutes.
