Installed this on my stock 05 type s. The car feels smoother throughout the entire rpms, and dosent lag in the heat with the ac on anymore. It gets heat soak like any other sri but not as bad as the stock air box. Shines in higher rpms and in colder weather.

About twenty min install, feel slight hp gains but the real star is the sound. Car sounds phenomenal now even before vtec. And its great to have this store located on the east coast so shipping is insanely fast

I bought the Injen Mega Ram for my RSX instead of cold air intake because I don't want to take out the fog lights. Product was well packaged with instruction manual and sticker included. Install took around 30mins including taking out the old airbox. Made the engine sound alive and I can pretty hear the VTEC crossover now. Throttle response and gas mileage got better, probably placebo but I would buy it again if ever I get another RSX. Hah!

Once again, super fast shipment. installation's a breeze. Just need a little electrical tape on the temp sensor, but that's whatever, nothing major. Definitely dress up your engine bay. When VTEC kicks in with this intake, a big smile comes across your face and fear on others hearing the sound. It's all good.

The intake is a bit noisy thus it provides a constant hissing sound even in low rpms. Noticably separates v-tech from the rest of the power band- the engine does scream. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

I bought this intake to replace an old beatup CAI on my 2002 type-S. I was worried about a possible loss of power switching from cold air to short-ram, but let me tell you, I haven't given up any power. This baby delivers the air the car needs and screams so freakin sexy all the way through VTEC. I still feel the awesome boost when VTEC kicks in. I've only had it for a couple of months, though, so I haven't experienced the summer heat soak yet. We'll see if it matters soon. Note: the temperature sensor was a pain to install, but thanks to others' suggestions, I wrapped it with electrical tape and it stays in the grommet perfectly. Just purchased a 2002 RSX TYPE S a few months ago. As a honda/acura owner for the last 13 years.it is always a good idea to toss your stock intake box.especially with vtec aplications.Was going to get Cold air.But decided to get short ram for easier install (not removing the bumper).Injen makes a nice quality intake.Install took me like 30 mintes.just like others said the air sensor gromet does not hold the sensor tight,a little electrical tape hold it in.car sound stock but from 4-5500 you can hear and feel the diffrence and when VTEC kicks in it screams!! makes the engine much more aggressive.I do live in California and will have to see how it performs on hot days.But overall best first mod to due to your RSX.

This was my first aftermarket performance md and i must say im in love with it. the grommet it came with didnt support the sensore very well but i wrapped the sensor with electrical tape like the others did before i put it in. I love how when you first crank the car over you get that short whistle sound, and when you rev it too. Another thing i like is that you can drive your car how you please, loud or quiet. from the cabin it sounds stock at idle and low rpms with the windows up, but when you give it a little gas you can hear the sexy roar. Also, it makes my rearview mirror vibrate a little which seems like a plus to me. 5 stars!!! :)

We have all heard how CAI's are so much better than SRI's cause of heatsoak, etc. I'm glad I took a chance cause I don't see how it can get any better than straight piping with a slight bend to clamp onto the throttle body. The sound is what definitely makes it worthwhile but the increased mid range power was a surprise. When V-Tec kicks in, it sounds better than most 4 and 6 cylinder engines. Definitely a great buy. Highly recommended.
