Great pads
Bill | September 18th, 2015
Glad I picked these over a few other pads I was looking at. I had the bed them to the new cross drilled rotors I bought, but once they were set these things clamp really well. Great upgrade over stock cheapo pads.
Disappointed

First of all, K series shipping is so fast, I don't know how they do it!! Now, on to the pads. I followed the instructions on the box exactly. I resurfaced my rotors and followed the recommended bed -in procedure. The pads never grabbed as hard as the ones I took off which were the autozone gold ceramic. Braking when the pads were cold was extremely poor and I was alomost hesitant to drive behind someone at a close distance. Once heated up it was a little better but still mediocre at best. Pair all that with the terrible brake dust and you get a 2 star rating. Will never buy these again. I bought another set of Autozone gold ceramic and i'm quite happy. I have the Hawks sitting in a box somewhere. A waste of $86
Great street upgrade

I went to Hawk HPS's when my OEM pads wore out, and they were great. Definitely not a track pad, but a reasonably long-wearing street pad with upgraded bite. Only complaint is the dust they put out is more red/brown than grey, so expect to spend quite a bit of time cleaning up your wheels.
Work great!!!

Have these matched up with Power Slot Slotted Rotors and they work great! Once they warm up they work awesome, no complaints at all. Comes with some grease or whatever too, so install is quick and easy.
Bite this!

They grab! I like these over ceramic because they stop really well but when they heat up they bite even harder. Coming off the freeway going MUCH faster than I should I hit the brakes and they stop QUICK at the end bite harder than initial. Sort of gives you a nice cushion in case you need to slow down quick after you've already planned your decel. Breaks within breaks. Downside? After car wash it takes a minute before they grip well so you could have an "Oh s$&@ moment" I love carbon pads!
Great improvement over OEM
SAX JONZ | December 7th, 2011
These pads like everyone else say do take a minute to grab hard. Compared to my stock pads these DO in fact grip more and when you need them most they GRAB more after the intial braking. May not be good for track I dunno but I do know that when they heat up they get hella stickier and I didn't notice any brake dust until the end of the pad life. When they get wet they take much longer to grip. It's a bit scary at first to not have any brakes but I can say this. I like them better than ceramic.
I Also replaced my oem with these HAWK HPS's

SO it was time to replace the old OEM break pads. These pads are awesome!! They will have you cleaning the break dust off the rims, but not as much as I thought. Great pads, I will be buying these again, intill I can accutally upgrade my breaking system. THANKS!! Two thumbs up from me!!
Good Overall

Well, you can't beat the price. I paid 72 bucks for the fronts of my Type S. The ups? They stop very well. The downs? They are dusty as a grandmas minge, and they don't have great initial bite. Stomp on the brakes, and everything in your car will be in footwell. I'd be giving this a 5-star if they weren't so dusty!
Great Replacement for OEM

The pads themselves are a great replacement for the OEM pads. They bite a bit harder and I would say the dust production is on the same level if not a little more than the factory pads. However, the brake pedal now feels a lot firmer and I definitely have more confidence in my brakes. They are definitely worth the money for anyone looking for a little more bite in their brakes without having to step up to track pads.
Great upgrade from OEM pads

It was about that time to replace the OEM pads. I shopped around and browsed the forums for reviews for a good pair of new pads. I was NOT disappointed with the purchase I made. They do have some noise until they are fulled bedded. Make sure you bed them in via the instructions provided. They do take one to two braking stops to get the full benefit of stopping power(pads need to be warmed up). Much better stopping power over OEM pads. I would recommend these as a great upgrade for street use. CRSX is the mecca!
Great street pads, not track pads
Jason | May 17th, 2009
I bought and installed these about 16 months ago. They work great on the street - it takes a stop or two for them to heat up, but then they definitely bite harder. I have used them for two weekends at the track (Mid-Ohio and Putnam Park) for a total of about 300ish track miles. Please note that these pads did not work very well at the track. They could not handle the heat and were 'glazing' on the rotors. They work well for autocross though.

Installed with Brembo cross-drilled rotors and braking performance is not noticeably improved. Perhaps new lines would help them bite better. Also, pads squeak a lot after a cold start and put out moderate levels of dust.
good stuff

shipped quick, installed quick, work great! they are way better than oem
Solid stopping power
JSenek | April 29th, 2008
While I had these they performed their job very well and I was very satisfied with their stopping ability. In my experience they also produced large amounts of dust and moderate to high amounts of noise according to how hot they were, so they may not be appropriate for a car used solely as a daily driver.
