K&N 02-06 RSX Base / 02-06 CR-V Red Short Ram Intake Reviews

I did before and after dynos with this intake and surprisingly my RSX type S gained 15 whp over stock with this intake even on a hot summer day in Miami. Though my only complaint is the intake has some fitment issues, the mounting bracket does not even come close to lining up with the mounting point on the car, and the tube coming out of the side that's supposed to line up with the crank venilation hose on the head does not even come close to lining up as well.

Ordered this for my base auto a while back. It wasn't in stock and was set for special order, however it only took 1 week to process and ship which wasn't too long at all. Installation Difficulty (1 Easiest - 10 Hardest): 3! As long as you have the tools it's so easy. It took about 45 minutes only because the stock air box was stubborn and didn't want to come off. The actual installation of the SRI was very straight forward. The Typhoon looks very nice in the bay and was a great improvement over stock. Coupled with tightening the throttle cable, the throttle response improvement was significantly more responsive than before. There is some low end torque loss, but it gets a lot better around mid/high rpm. You won't feel anything "power" wise, but with the fast responsiveness you seem to put down power much quicker without the lag. [On the contrary, cold nights undoubtedly seem to give you a slight power gain] No problem heatsoaking even when driving hard in Cali weather. Still better than stock... just keep the RSX moving. Sound wise, (speaking only for Base/Base Auto), it sounds very deep and throaty which I simply got addicted to right away. Tunnel runs are hilariously fun. Very much worth the price and Kseriesparts/Clubrsx never disappoints.
