Skunk2 is proud to introduce its 74mm Pro Series Throttle Body for the RSX Type-S and Pro Series Intake Manifold (part number 307-05-0310) in its signature, Black Series finish—the biggest K-series throttle body you can buy. Skunk2’s Pro Series Throttle Bodies are designed to be used with OEM Acura RSX (PRB) or Skunk2 Pro Series Intake Manifolds for bolt-on horsepower and torque gains by optimizing engine airflow (other applications, including ’06+ Civic Si RBC manifolds, require adapter plate).

Skunk2 throttle bodies undergo an extensive design and testing process to produce a throttle body that doesn't just provide more flow but retains smooth drivability and OEM throttle characteristics. Each Pro Series Throttle Body is designed using the latest CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) tools, which results in a unit that exceeds industry standards. Pro Series Throttle Bodies are also CNC machined from forged, billet 6061-T6 aluminum and hard anodized for durability in Skunk2’s signature finish. Pro Series Throttle Bodies are also compatible with OEM throttle cables, which simplifies installation. Each Skunk2 Pro Series Throttle body also features sealed bearings for smooth operation and a genuine, integrated Skunk2 badge. All necessary hardware and a new throttle body gasket are included for trouble-free installation.

A larger throttle body is key to producing additional power throughout the powerband on modified engines with increased airflow demands. Skunk2’s Pro Series Throttle Bodies for K-series engines feature a 74mm bore, which results in significant horsepower gains throughout the powerband on naturally aspirated applications and even more on forced induction ones.

Great paired to jrsc/jmerc inlet.

I have the karcepts iacv block off plate, and found the perfect length screw when fully tightened the throttle plate is open to the perfect spot. My idle is bang on and when i come to a light and clutch in, it never dips lower than 800rpm, so im very happy with this throttle body now. It took some time to get it dialed in perfectly after a lot of trial and error. Used to think the throttle plate would stick, but wasnt the case. I just didnt have it set up properly. ALL IN ALL GREAT DRIVEABILITY NOW :)

Installed this along with the Skunk2 Intake Manifold for a whopping 12HP gain and loss of 7 Max TQ on a turbo'd RSX. Throttle response is slightly better.

This TB is very well designed and crafted. After installing I noticed the butterfly hitting the manifold (would advise getting manifold bored and polished along with new injectors and kpro, if not then your A/F ratio will be off). It didn't bother me to lose the cruise control, I never used it anyways. The other issue is the EVAP valve, there is no were to mount it to this. So you may see about getting it shortened and tucked away nicely. Using a CAI, the short elbow is a pain to work with getting on but it will fit (barely). The instructions are a bit vague but there are a few DIY guides out there to help. There is a small idle set screw on the underside of the throttle spring that tends to loosen, I tightened it with some lock tight to prevent future problems. Other than these few minor issues this TB is wonderful. Craftsmanship is next to none. I would buy again if I were to do it all over again.

Looks great, Easy to install, HP gains on contact, great throttle response! I gave 4 stars because 1. you loose cruise control, 2. have to buy a Type-S TPS sensor if you have a RSX Base. Other than that, its AWESOME!!!

just put this on today, really wasn't hard at all. just remember to evenly tighten the bolts to the mani, otherwise the valve will pitch a fit. even using to stock intake manifold the added power is amazing, only draw back is losing the cruse control, but whit throttle response like this... youll never use it :)
