    Description

    The QUAIFE Automatic Torque Biasing Differential enables your car to accelerate quicker and corner faster. How? By getting the power to the ground! The QUAIFE Differential powers both drive wheels under nearly all conditions, instead of just one.

    An ordinary open differential is the standard on most cars. A lot of precious power is wasted during wheel spin under acceleration. This happens because the open differential shifts power to the wheel with less grip, along the path of least resistance.

    However, The QUAIFE does just the opposite. It senses which wheel has better grip and biases the power to that wheel. It does this smoothly and constantly, and without ever completely removing power from the other wheel. In cornering, while accelerating out of a turn, the QUAIFE biases greater power to the outside wheel, reducing inside-wheel spin. This allows the driver to begin accelerating earlier, exiting the corner at a higher speed.

    The QUAIFE'S unique design offers maximum traction, improves handling and steering, and puts the power where it is needed most. A definite advantage whether on the track or on the street. The QUAIFE is extremely strong and durable and since the Quaife is gear operated, it has no plates or clutches that can wear out and need costly replacement. The QUAIFE is great for street driving or racing. Racers don't have to put up with locking mechanisms or spools that tear the steering wheel out of their hands when cornering. Because it behaves like an open differential during ordinary driving, street drivers will have trouble telling it's there until pushing the cars limits. The QUAIFE has been proven in everything from SCCA Rally to Formula 1. It provides autocrossers with such an advantage, it has become "required" equipment for a winning effort.     well worth it!

    gives the car power to the wheel with greater traction! has already proven itself in situations where the old planetary dif. would disappoint

    Well Worth It

    What a huge difference after the install. The car corners with so much ease it's rediculous. My RSX used to kinda fight corners, it felt like there was resistance in the steering wheel. But after cornering feels like a smooth transition. Highly recommended for anyone with an RSX.

    What All Manual Acura/Hondas Should have Stock

    I added the LSD along w/ stg. II exedy and LW flywheel to my TSX in prepartion for my FI build. The diff keeps the car pullling through turns instead of washing out like the open diff. Torque steer has also gone away which is just a nice benefit. Straight line take offs are something I can actually pull off with out shaking the teeth out of my head; raise the rpms, slip the clutch and take off, much quicker than OEM diff.

    I have traction!

    I installed the Quaife LSD on my RSX with a Full-Race stage two turbo. I was very pleased with the increase of traction in low and mid throttle ranges without much if any torque steer and when the car does break loss it is still very easy to control as it doesn’t pull heavily to one side or the other. When cornering the car feel like it is being pulled into the turn instead of understeering around it which makes my car a lot more fun to drive threw corners. The one thing that did surprise me was the torque steer that I get when coming to a stop, but as long as you are prepared for this it won’t be a problem. Overall I am very happy with the LSD.
