Description

The 2002-2006 RSX, 2002-2005 EP3, 2006-2011 8th Gen Civic Si, 2012-2015 Civic Si, and 2004-2008 Acura TSX all have a known issue with their factory clutch master cylinders (CMC). If you look at the CMC on these cars more closely, you'll notice that all of these models have a triangular shaped feedback plate positioned at the very end of the cylinder. This plate is basically a secondary valve that was designed to slow down the clutch engagement and reduce shock to the clutch itself and the surrounding drivetrain parts. This setup might be perfectly fine for people that just drive their cars for simple daily use, but the delayed engagement can cause wear to the synchros and possibly even the gears on performance applications. The reason is fairly simple, the factory CMC delays the clutch operation, so it does not open fast enough to keep up with a fast shift. This means that pressure is being applied to the transmission synchros during the shift, before they are ready for the actual gear change.

The K-Tuned Clutch Master Cylinder Upgrade Kit was designed to completely replace the original factory cylinder and offer real time clutch engagement to support faster shifting. We have put together a complete bolt-on kit that includes a direct replacement CMC, our high pressure 3AN clutch line, plus all of the necessary fittings needed for installation. The factory clutch fluid reservoir is reused and connected the same way it was in stock form. The only thing we suggest is checking out your slave cylinder on the trans to confirm it is leak free. Aside from that, installation is pretty simple, install the parts and bleed the system using some new clutch fluid.

MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE!

i got this for my 08 Civic Si,because i keot breaking the oem clutch master cylinders,why?because i had a bad clutch.i always had problems with grinding my gears or misshifting when spirited driving lol so i replaced it with this cmc and it made a big difference.it still grinds abit but it could be because i haven't installed the K-Tuned Slave Cylinder,which has the same problem as the oem cmc,it delay's the clutch engagement.but i am still very happy how well this cmc works. Excellent replacement

Great replacement for our shitty OEM CMC. Works perfectly fine and does it's purpose. Only little thing that bothered me is the rubber black line was a little loose from the end where you attach to the master cylinder. Doesn't affect performance so I could care less. No biggie. 5/5 Would buy this over the suggested EM2 CMC anyday.

Bought the K-Tuned CMC to replace my OEM CMC which was giving me trouble engaging into gears smoothly after installing and adjusting pedal engaging gears is like butter wish car came with this CMC from factory

Clutch issues solved!

I had the Exedy Stage 1 Organic clutch and HF02 lightweight flywheel installed by a cheap mechanic (ugh). I had problems, I replaced the CMC with a cheap ('01 Civic) auto parts store knockoff and a Honda slave cylinder. After this I found there was a leak in one of the clutch lines. I replaced all the clutch lines with new Honda lines. The clutch was still erratic, no firm engagement point, always changing, sometimes spongy, finally found there was a tiny leak in the cheap CMC. This kit solved all issues, the one clutch line is just the right length to go from the CMC to the slave. I finally have a firm engagement point and consistency with the clutch, and loving it! (Been using it a couple weeks now.) I highly recommend this kit if you go with a Stage 1 or other racing clutch.
