Hybrid Racing Shifter Cable Bushings
Shifter cable bushings are a cost-effective, simple way to add that crisp feel that you associate with a solid feeling shifter.
Don't be fooled into thinking that all shifter cable bushings are created equal. Many companies make the mistake of assuming both bushings used in the k-series shifter cables can be replaced with solid metal or delrin bushing. This is not the case. Honda uses rubber bushings in their cables because it's a cost-effective way to allow 2-degrees of freedom. A solid metal or delrin bushing allows only 1-degree of freedom. Generally speaking, eliminating a degree of freedom in the bushings translates into more effort required to shift and the potential to bend and ruin your shifter cables.
That's why the Hybrid Racing incorporates a chrome-plated steel spherical bearing into their shifter bushings. This gives the crisp, notchy feel you expect from shifter bushings without the extra effort required to shift, like other brands of bushings.
All shifter bushings are supplied with spiral retaining rings to hold them into the cables, along with stainless steel cotter pins to hold the cables to the transmission. The bushings are constructed from 6061 aluminum and are black anodized, for added protection from corrosion.

The first mod you should do
Don't even think about buying the all solid bushings, these are the end all be all shifter cable bushings. You'll feel an immediate difference once you install these bad boys. Pair them with some solid shifter base bushings and enjoy your car even more than you already do. I installed these on my '04 EP3 and I can't live without them!

cover them with waterproof grease and install. works a bit better than a new Honda rubber bushing. a good replace if your oem are slow/seized.

It does what it's supposed to do. Shifting into gears is smoother and it's a lot easier to get into reverse. I have a 5-spd manual and sometimes it's difficult to get into reverse. I recommend changing the honda bushings with these.

15 Minute Install-well worth the time & $
06 RSX-S I have a CAI so it was very easy to get to area where these shifter bushings get installed. I've had these on for about 6 weeks, so I've had some time to really get a feel for this mod. You will want to change yours too. It does what it says it should do. Looks good, feels good. Shifting is very engaged and precise. It almost clicks into the gear you select. Shifting seems smoother too. I am using this on a stock shifter but now I want to put on a short shifter just to really get the performance feel from this mod. You won't be disappointed if you put this on. Thanks CRSX! for good price & fast shipping!

WAY better than strut king bushings
These bearings will change the feel of your shifter IMMENSELY!! They are $50 more than the strut king version for a reason. It isn't hard to install, but use some WD-40 to get out the stock bushings, it will make life much easier. If you ruin the retaining rings, call up Hybrid Racing and they will ship you out new rings for free! (I stretched out the first one in frustration!) This was the best $76 I ever spent on my car, and trust me you can't find them anywhere cheaper, not even eBay!

Eazy Install, Great Bushings
This took like 5 mins (have a CIA) and was very eazy to put in. the shifting is much more stiffer and it is a long easier to get into reverse.

Well worth the price
I replaced the OEM rubber bushings with the Hybrid cable bushings. Install was a fast and easy 15 minute job (the retaining rings take a bit of patience). Combined with with Pspec shifter these give a more precise engagement and eliminated the second gear notch entirely. Another small piece that adds up to a much improved shift feel.

Great product, easy install
A good bushing for the price, the swivel bushing makes the shifts like butter. Has a very "engaged" feel for each gear. Also a very easy install!
