    Will It Fit Your Vehicle?


    Hondata KPro4 (Version 4) is a fully programmable ECU for 02-04 Acura RSX (DC5), 02-05 Honda Civic Si (EP3), and any K Swapped vehicle. K-Pro is a must have to get maximum performance out of your k-series engine.

    The K-Series Programmable ECU (K-Pro) consists of a hardware modification to any K-Series ECU, plus Windows software which allows you to re-program the ECU and datalog sensors.

    If you would like to upgrade from a previous k-pro version to version four, it is done directly through Hondata using this form:


    You are responsible for paying for and sending your ECU to Hondata. You can send your ECU as fast as you would like and shipping costs normally start at $10.00 for ground and $60.00+ for next day air. We recommend using an express service (2 day or next day) through FedEx or UPS because they have the least amount of delivery problems, provide proper insurance, and have good package tracking. We recommend that you do not use USPS because of delivery issues. You are not sending your ECU to K Series Parts you will be sending it to Hondata directly and we provide all of the instructions on where it needs to be sent once your order is approved.


    After we approve your order we will send you two emails, one email will be a Hondata form and the other email will be instructions for shipping and what items need to be included. Orders submitted by 3:00pm Mountain Standard Time Monday to Friday are normally approved same day. Orders places after 3:00pm MST or on Saturday and Sunday are processed the next business day.

    Hondata normally reflashes ECU's the same day they receive them but they do get busy and it might take an extra business day. We recommend that you plan on a 3 day total turnaround time from the day that Hondata receives your ECU.

    Return Shipping

    Hondata uses K Series Parts FedEx account to next day air the ECU back to you once the reflash has been installed. This means that you do not have to pay for return shipping. Your ECU will arrive by 3:00pm the day after Hondata completes the reflash installation. Hondata does not provide us with a tracking number or notification when they ship the ECU back to you.

    ECU Serial Number

    The serial number is located on the ECU. Hondata has provided instructions on how to remove the ECU.

    International Customers

    K Series Parts cannot sell K-Pro to customers outside of the United States unless you purchase a brand new ECU or send your ECU to K Series Parts directly. Please contact us first if are not located in the United States.

    Version 4 Enhancements

    Faster and More Powerful: The KPro4 uses a faster processor with more capability than the KPro-III. This allows the KPro4 to perform more tasks without slowing down the ECU, like live tuning, output to a dash, flex fuel and advanced protection. Calibration uploads and datalogging from a laptop are also faster.

    Enhanced On Board Datalogging: The KPro4 has double the datalogging memory (64 MBit) of the KPro-III and can datalog at double the rate (100 Hz), giving an on board recording time of 10 - 220 minutes.

    Faster Uploads: The upload time is 30% faster than the KPro-III, with a typical initial upload time of 7 seconds. Subsequent uploads are also faster, and live tuning can be used for instantaneous updates. Laptop datalogging is also 30% faster than the KPro-III.

    Live Tuning and Autotune: Main tables can be updated in real time, without affecting the operation of the engine. This allows dyno tuning without pausing to upload. Autotune uses live tuning and a laptop to tune fuel tables as you drive.

    Bluetooth: The KPro4 includes Bluetooth for laptop programming/datalogging with a USB cable, and mobile datalogging.

    Ethenol Sensor Input: An ethanol sensor can be directly connected to the KPro4, allowing flex fuel operation, with adjustments to fuel & ignition tables performed automatically based on fuel ethanol content.

    Speed Sensor Input: A speed sensor input can be directly connected to the KPro4 and sent to the ECU. This is configurable to any pulse based sensor and eliminates the need for a stock speed sensor.

    Dash & Datalogging Outputs: The KPro4 has serial output (both TTL & RS232) and CAN output so that a dash can be driven from the KPro. The AiM MXL, Racepak & generic CAN outputs are supported.

    Advanced Protection: Advanced protection options use the KPro4 analog inputs and engine information to intelligently shut down the engine when the conditions might be dangerous to the engine.

    Better Wideband Support: The KPro4 can process a wideband lambda input (either analog or digital) and allow the ECU to run in closed loop from an aftermarket wideband without requiring the stock o2 sensor.

    Counterfeit warning

    It has come to Hondata's attention that counterfeit KPros, green circuit board Versions 1 and 2, are being sold as new and used. Protect yourself from purchasing a counterfeit K-Pro by checking out this page.

    K-Pro Highlights

    • Base maps are included only for K20A2, K20A3 (RSX Base), K20A3 (Civic SI) and K20A engines.
    • The 2002- CRV ECU (5 speed) (PPA -A0# ECU) can be used.
    • Support for the manual K20A3 engine and the secondary intake runner as used in the base model RSX and CRV.
    • The Japanese PRD and PRC ECU do not support a fuel tank pressure sensor required for some US emissions tests, but will likely pass a tailpipe sniffer test if the catalytic converter is in place.
    • PNF, PPA and PND ECUs for 5 speed transmissions will not operate the reverse lock solenoid on 6 speed transmissions.
    • The K-Pro ECU will not work on Automatic vehicles. Automatic ECUs cannot be converted to manual.
    • To use the K-Pro on a 2005-2006 RSX, an adapter harness is required, an 02-04 specially modified ECU must be modified for used and the primary oxygen sensor from an 03-04 must be used.
    • Turn around time is usually 2 days from the time it is received.
    • From previous ECU's Honda has changed from 2 dimensional tables (engine speed and engine load) to 3 dimensional tables (engine speed, engine load and cam angle). The K-Pro ECU retains these 3 dimensional tables to ensure the engine is running at optimum efficiency and power for every cam angle.
    • The stock JDM and US O2 sensor is wide band and can read from 11.5:1 to 30:1 A/F ratios.
    • Most OBDII features may be disabled for race vehicles.
    • Error codes and the OBDII readiness status may be datalogged.
    • Base tables are supplied for the RSX Type S, RSX Base, Civic SI and Integra Type R engines. These tables have been dyno tuned.
    • No external programmer or other equipment is necessary. Just plug the ECU into a laptop via a USB cable.
    • Tables may be map-traced in real time.
    • The K-Pro ECU is not real-time updateable, however most changes to tables and settings can be uploaded in 1-2 seconds.
    • The K-Pro ECU is a separate product from the s100/s200 line, and will not share the same options (e.g. 3 step) nor software (HondaLogger, RomEditor). All systems are fully programmable by the user. All K-Pro ECU systems include all features (e.g. boost, datalogging).

    SO FAST!

    I was contemplating for a long time whether or not to actually spend the money on a kpro, but trust me, it was so worth it. Currently gathering my last bolt ons before getting tuned but having control of the whole engine is awesome. Did I mention it got back to me 2 days after sending it out? CRAZY!

    Whenever I installed kpro I used the regular factory calibration and just by doing that made my car extremely fast can't imagine what it'll be like once the car is turbo with this fantastic ecu

    A must for K-series owners

    This was my 1st 'performance' mod and its still the 'best' mod I have. The ability to tweak your OEM ECU as a standalone is vital and better than an aftermarket standalone by far. And now its a steal $600 range? wow I paid $900+ for mine.

    i love kpro

    gains are everywhere with kpro from better torque to being able to check your codes, to being able to change your parameters. very easy to use. im beating stock turboed cars now. definitely should get all the bolt ons first (intake, header, exhaust) before kpro then get a tune

    100% worth it!

    After the Ecu arrived at hondata it was on its way back 18 hours later! You will notice immediate gains in specifically low end power and after you are done tuning the whole powerband feels smoother and has much more power to offer. Get it! You will Not regret it

    The first thing to modify

    Hondata's K-Pro SHOULD be the first thing you buy for any Honda with a K series motor. There is no excuse, especially if you own a 02-04 RSX Type-S, the stock PRB ECU is the ideal ECU to own for a K motor. Hella fast shipping and new low price. Win win!     Hondata FTW!!

    I recently purchased my 03 rsx base and didn't know the potential it had to be something great. That changed when I found crsx and they taught me alot and the first thing I learned was that the K20 is a touchy motor, you can't just bolt on and not tune so they told me the best thing and the first thing was to upgrade the ecu with hondata k-pro and it is amazing. Even stock my car performs alot smoother and you can feel the difference in the drive. Make this your first upgrade because it is worth every penny. Hondata FTW!!!

    Works Perfect, Order Was Completed Fast

    Everything is working perfectly. Imobilizer didn't want to work at first, but after I enabled it, uploaded file, took key out for 10sec and started the car it works just fine. ECU was returned within the week and I was able to start tuning the next weekend.

    plain and simple, even with a basemap, the power gains are instantly noticed throughout whole rpm range. for the price of this upgrade and a tune, 1200 bucks couldnt go to a better performance modification. feels like a different engine. easy to work though k-manager program also.

    Worth every penny.

    Ordered Kpro through CRSX at 3am Wed. Received forms through e-mail at 11am Wed. Mailed ECU USPS Express to CA at 4:25pm Wed. Received ECU back completed at 2pm Fri. All this from the east coast. Kudos to CRSX and Hondata for fantastic service, and another thumbs up to Hondata for a fantastic product. If you're at the point where you're considering this purchase, do it. You won't regret it.

    The Kpro by far is the most important and useful upgrade on the market! I wish i'd have bought this before any other mod that i have! If your on the fence about you need to fall off it and buy hondata asap! All k-series should've been equiped with kpro from the get go!

    Very nice

    All I have done on my RSX is exhaust and intake, and with K-Pro installed now everything is much smoother and I am looking forward to future upgrades (possibly turbo) that will require the upgrade to run at their optimum.

    Satisfaction Guaranteed

    I just recently had cams, springs, and retainers installed, and without KPRO and a tune, it drove pretty sketchy. Now after I installed KPRO and had it dyno tuned, it feels like a totally different car. Well worth the money invested, and the tuner absolutely loved working with KPRo and how complex and advanced the program is. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get the most out of their K20.

    Worth every penny. I was really hesitant at first. But, I got it tuned and everything worked out fine. Great service and turnaround time.     I can sit here all day and ramble on about how wonderful Hondata's K-pro product really is. I think that I can speak for everyone who has or does own one when I say it is the finishing touch to any K series powered project. I am more interested in commenting about how great Clubrsx's service and sales are. Very VERY quick, responsive, and helpful. Also, with that in mind, at the time I bought my K-pro, Clubrsx had the cheapest 'new' price on Hondata's K-pro I was able to find anywhere online.     K Pro

    I was a little intimidated by tuning my car by myself at first, but after a few hours of playing around with it, the process becomes almost second nature. As far as power, K Pro gave me some pretty great gains across the RPM band. The power increase can't be felt easily in one area because the power increase isn't "peaky," it was across the ENTIRE rev range. Two thumbs WAY up for K Pro and CRSX for making the purchase process so easy.

    Worth teh Money

    Bought an e-manage to run my Greddy turbo setup and almost installed that, then finally learned how much better k-pro is. Glad I waited to get the extra money for it. Install is so much easy, no soldering or anything and seeing real time numbers from all the sensors through datalogging is awesome. Did I mention after my car was k-pro tuned it felt like a new car?

    I have had this product for about a month and i must say, man did it make my car come alive. Just toying around with basemaps there is a big difference, i plan to get dyno tuned soon. Anyone on the fence on buying this product should get it, it gives you so much and opens the door to many more upgrades. Clubrsx was very clear on what had to be done to order this product and made for an easy quick purchase. KPro FTW!!!

    KPro FTW

    This is my 3rd turbo setup and KPro has been the brains that make it all work. Definitely should be the first mod for anyone desiring more power. KPro is designed to make use of all the technology in the engine and then some.

    With just a V2 intake and hks catback exhaust on my 2005 BASE RSX, this ecu gave me an incredible amount of power. Power you can feel! I took my friend (who owns an STi) for a ride after i installed it and put it on the 91 octane tune, and he was amazed at the torque from my 4-banger, throwing him back in his seat. He said it totally caught him off guard, and he was wondering how the hell a 4-cyl engine could do that.

    The key to getting the most out of your car

    With most mods you will only notice a little change in how your car performs, but K-Pro (or the reflash) completely changes the attitude of your engine. The extra low-end torque from an improved vtec crossover is extremely useful both on the streets and at the track, and the ability to tweak how your engine runs to your liking is very rewarding. K-Pro will also greatly augment your engine modding options while allowing you to ensure that you're getting the most out of each component that you add or enhance. Overall I have been extremely pleased with the performance of Hondata's K-Pro and it has been my favorite addition to the car.

    Best modification to ever have been created

    Hondata K-Pro is simply a godsend to the Honda/Acura community and even more precisely, to bless the awesome DC5 chassis as well as others(see fitment in description). Complete engine tuning capabilities make this the absolute best and cheapest choice if you're picking an engine management system for your vehicle as nothing else matches it. I recently purchased K-Pro for my Acura RSX Type S and I could not be any happier than I am right now, after a simple street tune, my car feels like a million bucks.
