    Will It Fit Your Vehicle?

The 2007 to 2011 RDX is a must have upgrade! It reflash advances the ignition, alters the cam timing and optimizes the fuel, adding up to 20hp and 33ft/lbs of torque across the rev range.

Hondata raises the boost level about 1-1.5 psi under 4500 RPM and raises the boost level 3.5-4 psi at redline. As a result the turbo spools faster at lower RPM leading to better off the line performance.

You are responsible for paying for and sending your ECU to Hondata. You can send your ECU as fast as you would like and shipping costs normally start at $10.00 for ground and $60.00+ for next day air. We recommend using an express service (2 day or next day) through FedEx or UPS because they have the least amount of delivery problems, provide proper insurance, and have good package tracking. We recommend that you do not use USPS because of delivery issues. You are not sending your ECU to K Series Parts you will be sending it to Hondata directly and we provide all of the instructions on where it needs to be sent once your order is approved.

After we approve your order we will send you two emails, one email will be a Hondata form and the other email will be instructions for shipping and what items need to be included. Orders submitted by 3:00pm Mountain Standard Time Monday to Friday are normally approved same day. Orders places after 3:00pm MST or on Saturday and Sunday are processed the next business day.

Hondata normally reflashes ECU's the same day they receive them but they do get busy and it might take an extra business day. We recommend that you plan on a 3 day total turnaround time from the day that Hondata receives your ECU.

    Return Shipping

Hondata uses K Series Parts FedEx account to next day air the ECU back to you once the reflash has been installed. This means that you do not have to pay for return shipping. Your ECU will arrive by 3:00pm the day after Hondata completes the reflash installation. Hondata does not provide us with a tracking number or notification when they ship the ECU back to you.

    ECU Serial Number

The serial number is located on the ECU. Hondata has provided instructions on how to remove the ECU. The instructions are 3/4 of the way down the page.

    International Customers

K Series Parts cannot sell reflashes to customers outside of the United States per Hondata request. The shipping address must be a US based address.

    Additional Information

The Hondata reflash raises the boost a little, advances the ignition a little and leans the mixture a little. Reflash owners have reported an improvement in fuel economy, but this has not been tested.

The RDX is very sensitive to fuel quality. You must always run the highest quality fuel. The ECU is constantly monitoring knock and will advance or retard the ignition to suit. Poor fuel, hot intake temperatures, hard loading on a dyno, and high speed running can cause knock. As a result the ECU will retard timing (and reduce the power) until conditions improve.

RDX owners in states that run higher octane than the 91 found in California may well see more performance than shown here.

If you are dyno testing it is unlikely you will get enough air across the intercooler. If the air gets too hot the ECU will retard the ignition, in addition to retarding the ignition from any knock. Reset the ECU by unplugging it for 30 seconds to reset the knock learning.

The increased rev limit only functions in Sportshift mode.

At the time of testing were no intakes available for the RDX. Air fuel ratio is largely determined by the mass air flow sensor located in the intake. Any intake which does not alter the pipe diameter surrounding the mass air flow sensor (and thus the air fuel ratio) should work fine.

The reflash will work safely with an exhaust system.

This reflash is not suitable with nitrous due to the aggressive ignition advance.

Acura RDX ECU part numbers 37820-RWC-A55 through 37820-RWC-A74 (2007-2011).

    • Rev limiter raised to 7200 rpm. (sportshift mode only)

Any increase in RPM limit is at your own risk. If you suffer engine damage that is related to excessive revs Honda / Acura will not cover your warranty.

With regard to aftermarket parts, the law is that warranty coverage cannot be denied simply because such parts are present on the vehicle, or have been used. For more details read the K series FAQ.

    Faster than your stock

Let me say I'm about 95% content with the purchase of the reflash. The shipping and purchase from this website was fast and trouble free. I got my reflash mailed out on monday and got it back by Wed. I live on the East Coast. The installation was pretty easy. Just plug it in and take it out for a spin while the ECU recalibrate. The take off is much noticeable. The turbo lag is still there but not quite obvious compared to stock. Like many other people's experience, the power is in the low end to midrange. After that, not much to brag about. Perhaps, my most disapointment is the MPG. The reflash has made it 1 - 2 mpg worse than before. I got 19 mpg before the reflash. Mind you I'm not the one who drives aggressively like pedal to the medal. I drive in auto mode 95% of the time. With the reflash, I'm average about 17-18 mpg even with being non aggressive. I'm using 93 octane in the car at all time. I think living in the stop and go traffic in Atlanta does not help my mpg but I'm planning on taking a road trip to TX this Christmas and will post my experience afterwards. Until then, if you are on the fence about the reflash. Just do it if you have the cash. I don't have an intake or header or exhaust. Everything else is stock as I don't plan on putting a ton of cash into this car.

    Acura RDX reflash

Great price, clear instructions, fast turnaround for clubrsx. One thing, DO NOT SEND YOUR KEY/REMOTE. The reflash does what it is supposed to do and the price is the lowest around
