Big Difference over stock shifter
I just installed a day ago and what can i say, it really is a big difference over the stock shifter. The throws are much much cleaner and smoother and it also fixed my 3rd hear grind that would happen from time to time which i had read it fixed for other people as well. I highly recommend it.

not for abuse
If you take it easy it is great but if you shifting really hard all the time don't buy it I had on in my car when I bought it broke it about a year ago got another and ita git a crack in it and bout to go again the weak point I'd where the shifter cable mounts into the assembly wish that wasn't a problem cause I love it besides that

A little disappointing
The shifter is not anything noticeably different over stock. It took a little of the slop out, but nothing amazing. I do have a some concern over the shifter breaking at the arm due to poor welding. For the money it's not bad, but I would save up and look into billet shifters like hybrid or ktuned.

Rsx Type S
Great product, good pricing as well. Fast shipment, did make a huge different from the OEM. So far I didn't have any issues with the product. Works great.

Not worth it
Since this is made out of medium density polystyrene, the shifter arm on this broke due to the poorly thin engineering at the joint of the shifter arm socket hole. This was after a few years of use. When that happens, your options are limited and you pretty much have to buy the entire assembly. OEM material seems better quality than this. I'm planning on keeping my baby forever and wanted quality components that won't broke. Replaced this with the KSeries Aluminum shifter. What a world of difference in position and feel. Spend the money, get quality components.

This shifter is not that bad for the money you pay. The only complaint I have is that it wiggles a lot when it's in gear and it squeaks side to side, but that might go away. Make sure you have a fat tube of white lithium grease handy.

For its price it does make a huge difference. Ive gotten used to it to the point ive forgotten if its really all that shorter in height and in throws compared to stock. It had a bit of side to side play still. If i could go back id spend a lil extra on the K-Tuned or Hybrid Short Shifters but for the average Jack daily driven need for speed crave I couldnt recommend better.

Great short shifter for the price. 30 min install. Replaced used cotter pins with 1/16" x 3/4" zinc plated pins from home depot. Applied loctite blue to hex screw to lock adjustable throw in place. OEM throw was approx. 4" and BCSS was approx. 2.75" at shortest setting. About a 31.25% decrease in throw. Purchased on Tuesday and arrived on Friday. Make sure to reuse OEM washer on primary cable to prevent spongy side to side shifter movement. Also make sure to use wrench to rotate secondary cable lock to prevent cracking it. Good short shifter for those on a budget.

got this shifter to replace my revo shifter. Its actually about the same as the revo, i was just worried about the revo breaking at the weld.

good while it lasted
Had this for 5 years, finally the part the shift cable attaches to sheared from the stick, which left me unable to shift. I was very happy with it while it worked, but in the end it left me stranded

its not as short as i expected but the throw feels crisper and slightly shorter, match it with a weighted shift knob and youll be set.

This is a good product from the few months that I have had it. No problems however the Allen nut or screw should be longer for the primary shifter. And shifts are not as short as I expected. Works great. Nothing bad to say.

Smooth tight shifts!
Great shifter! Huge difference from stock. Awesome customer service and insanely fast shipping!

Quick and fairly straight forward install. The toughest part was tearing the center console apart!

I bought this to remedy the 3rd gear grind that came with my car when I bought it used. So far so good! Combined with the Skunk2 Billet knob it works great, smooth, very sturdy feeling. Use loctite on the adjustment bolt (It's sooo short) Pretty simple bolton, even for the least experienced. Also I noticed people talking about how once you stick the knob back on it won't face the right direction, just use small washers to correct it and It'll be perfect :) All in all, great product and help remedy some grinds I had!

BC SS Kit 6 speed
Product works great. Shifts are shorter and have less play. Recommend part for all RSX owners. Used loctite on shift linkage bolt as other reviewers stated. No need to buy shifter bushings, since kit already comes with them built in... This is one of my favorite parts...

I was a little concerned reading that some people had to modify their shifter to reduce sounds, but I haven't noticed a significant change in sound at all, Shifter works great, only issue I had is that with the shift boot adapter and a directional knob (one with writing) the knob doesn't line up. The shift boot adapter actually offsets the threads just enough to turn the knob from facing the right way. Shifter itself is great!

Night and day difference from stock. It feels very smooth. It seems to have fixed my 3rd gear grind. It hardly ever happens anymore. I wish I could have used my CRSX shifter bushings with it. It comes with built-in plastic.

Buddy Club Shifter
2006 Type-S: Easy install once you remove the center console.(A minor pain in the rear) Having read all the reviews, I was ready with the lock-tite for the shift linkage. Also paired with Skunk2 shift knob. Have only given it a very short test drive. Club RSX was very helpful when I asked for directions! Can't wait to give it a good run. I keep my RSX up on its storage lift in the cold months (it's very spoiled)

I bought this shifter along with the shifter bushings. come to find out the buddy club has built in plastic bushings so either drill them out to use the metal ones for simply don't worry about it.. other than that its perfect!

I've had this shifter for about 2 years now it is amazing to see how stock vs. BCR Shifter is. I love how you can adjust the throws but of course i keep it on the shortest throws as possible. with the strut king shift cable bushings its even more incredible and my mugen shift knob is a great knob for this shifter or the skunk2 knob over all ITS A GREAT BUY!!!

mine broke after about 2 yrs of regular use
after about 2 yrs of regular use the welding broke on my short shifter. i only raced about 3 or 4 times, and 1 day while getting on the highway it snapped, i drove home using 2 hands to shift. i think this should have lasted much longer.

Easy installation and a great Product! Makes a noticeable difference when shifting. Shifts are shorter, smoother and the car feels stronger than ever.... Great buy!

Worth The Money
If you're reading this you need to click on the order button. The buddy club ss offers adjustable throw which means faster shifting between gears. This product makes driving a lot more fun and enjoyable. Although it the ss doesn't completely get rid of the 2nd-3rd gear grind it does eliminate it for the most part. Worth every penny and I didn't bother to purchase the shifter bushing because the oem ones were still good. Pair this with a skunk 2 knob or any other heavier than stock knob and you won't be disappointed.

This product made my acura feel so much better. i get into gear faster now so it made my car feel faster aswell. Great product. Highly recommend.
3/30/2010 by Norman Midence
it feels so good and better then the stock one! i just had this one issue with it and i didn't like it when im in a average high rpm and i try to downshift on it it wont let me go into gear! that was my only issue with it but beside that it was GREAT!! i loved it

Great short shifter
I use this in conjunction with the strut king shifter bushing and the ARC Titan and could not be more impressed. Shifts are shortened and feels more precise. Amazing product.

I paired this short shift kit with the weighted Skunk 2 knob recently, and I am blown away with the results. Its made such a huge difference in the overall feel of the car that i can't imagine how you could drive an RSX any other way. The difference of the throw with just the short shifter was a massive improvement over stock, and paired up with the Skunk2 knob it becomes quite possibly the smoothest and most positive shifter feel ive ever felt... even better than my 2009 Civic Si when it was new. I highly recommend this shifter, it is money well spent.

Install was fairly easy with the right tools. A major noticeable differnence in throw(which is adjustable). Just make sure to loctite the bolt that holds the cable as it is very short and may back out. You get used to the throw after a while. But then you drive a stock type s and your like wow feels like an 18 wheeler then you get in your car and think to yourself, am I really already in gear?
11/12/2009 by gabe
i have this combined with the weighted skunk2 knob n it feels amazing. the short shifter itself is a little rough but almost goes away completely with the knob.

Buddy Club Racing Spec Shifter for my 2006 Acura RSX Type S
- Rating 4/5 - Review: This is one of the few short shifter you can buy for the RSX that is the whole shifter assembly instead of just an adapter. It must be in my head because this part made my car feel like a full on race car. The throw of the shifter is adjustable and you'd be surprised what this does. Combine with some different shifter bushings and the shifting is more precise and very short. Amazing part over all. I gave it a 4/5 b/c sometimes the nut that holds the shift linkages that makes the throws short loosens but it's not that bad. Some washed and lock tight and your good to go. Buy this! You won't regret it

Took approx. 30 minutes to install and everything fit perfectly. I felt about 20 - 30% shorter feeling than stock. I think the main difference that makes this shifter great is that it gets rid of that damn 2nd gear problem when it gets cold out....and that makes it worth every penny. Definitely a great product with a good brand name and direct replacement without any modification to your car should make it the best short shifter Club rsx is offering.

amazing product, very easy to install. it'll take about 30 min and you are ready to drive.

By far the best mod I have done so far. I have it paired up with some metal shifter bushings and the feel is really solid! I would recommend getting a longer screw for the adjustable part of the shifter so it doesn't fall out while your driving. This shifter is great!
12/20/2008 by Mike
I gave it for 4 because of the length of the shifter; it would have been perfect if it was shorter. Overall, it is a great product and I would highly recommend to anyone that wants an easy upgrade from stock. Also I change out my Shifter rod bushings and shifter bushing from the stock rubber ones to the aluminum ones, there is a bigger difference I think in the stiffness of the shift.

i like the hight ,but i have an armrest so ,great product
9/23/2008 by jojo
gave it a four just because the lengnth of the shifter needs to be a lil shortened. and also i feel the difference only to the second gear
8/29/2008 by harpersx
I recommend this shifter to everyone! This Short Shifter feels better than the stock one and the throws are so much shorter. Definitely worth the money!

Worth every penny.
Very easy install. This is the way it should have came from the factory. I'm very happy I made this purchase. CRSX!

bcss great, wish rod was shorter
put in my bcss a couple of days ago. install was easy, bout 1.5 hrs. shifter is much tighter than factory. quality is superb and shift throws are much shorter. the only complaint i have is that i would have liked the shifter rod to be a couple inches shorter.
6/11/2008 by edub905
only reason i give it 4 stars, is because my first one broke right out the gate...scary as hell too, but crsx helped me right the problem and now im very satisfied!

Buddy Club Racing Spec Shifter
Great shifter. Fit perfectly. Shortened the knob by about 3/4 of an inch id say, and the front and back throws are around 20-30% shorter. Great product.

I wouldn't use any other brand !!!!!
The buddy club 6 speed short shifter is easy to install, just take the existing shifter. Its so short !!!!!! You'll be amazed because I was !!!!

BCSS is the way to go
I love it. Best feature is that its adjustable. I have the worlds hardest time hitting 2nd and 3rd gear. I installed it and adjusted it to the shortest throw, and 3rd went into gear like butter everytime. I played with heigth a bit more, and finally I am able to flawlessly hit every gear everytime with it. Installation was super uber easy, anyone can do it, my wife even commented that "Hey I can install that!"

got it like 2 months ago and love it. never had a problem with it.

I purchased the Buddy Club Short Shifter (5spd) about 9 months ago. I have never had any problems with it. And yes, you can use the 5spd Short Shifter on the 6spd. I have it installed on my 03 type S. This makes the car much more fun to drive. Shifts are more solid and the shift throws are greatly reduced. The adjustable shifter throw is nice too. Save your money and buy the 5spd!

Buddy Club Shift Kit
I was really impressed with the product. I got it in a very reasonable amount of time. Very well made and quite simple. Install was a breeze. Took about a half hour. Shifting is very crisp. Definatly an improvment from the stock feel.
3/27/2008 by orlando
i liked it it was pretty easy to install and the shifts feel alot better but the only think is i wish it was shorter
2/20/2008 by Meng
The installation was quick and easy. Simply remove the stock shifter and bolt this one up. The shift throw is adjustable from just slightly shorter than stock to about 25-30% shorter throws. A real difference from stock.
