The KONI Sport dampers are designed for aggressive driving or cars with suspension upgrades while continuing to offer comfort. If a KONI Sport is listed as an alternative to the KONI Special, choose Sport for aggressive handling characteristics. The KONI Sport (yellow) typically starts at a higher initial valving baseline to give a sportier feel and work on vehicles with higher performance parts. In some instances, KONI will only offer a Special or Sport valving and not both. Some modern cars come from the factory with higher tech suspension systems and wheel/tire packages so they would move directly into the Sport range, however they are still valved to give a comfortable ride with very good handling capabilities.
Sold as a single shock for the driver or passenger side.
Typical order quantity is 2.

I gone through the entire range of adjustments trying to find a setting for rough roads and I'm not successful. Its quite a rough ride on bumpy roads, compression damping pretty harsh and makes braking difficult.

If I were just rating the shocks, I would have given them a 5. I've owned many sets of Konis, but this was by far the worst installation! Why couldn't they have made the struts specifically for the RSX? These are generic shocks that need extensive modification for the car they are installed on. In this case, the original struts had to be modified by cutting off the top of the tube that is about 3/16" thick. In order to make it a straight cut, I started with a pipe cutter to make a line to follow with a hack saw. A hole had to be drilled in the bottom of the tube in order to insert a bolt into the bottom of the Koni shock. This locks the shock into the original strut tube. Instructions were also generic and poorly written. Its a good thing these are supposed to be lifetime shocks, I wouldn't want to try removing the strut inserts to replace them.
