The Karcepts K20A/A2/A3/Z1 Throttle Body To RRC Intake Manifold Adapter provides the SOLUTION for directly bolting up a 2002-2006 RSX-S/ITR or 2002-2005 Civic Si/CTR throttle body to the JDM 2007-Present Civic Type R intake manifold.
This adapter matches the OEM RRC manifold bore (65mm option) and retains usage of the K-Series idle air control valve. Now available is a 70mm option for use with bored out OEM throttle bodies or many of the other large bore aftermarket throttle bodies out on the market. Just note that you will obviously need to port match the RRC manifold to realize the benefits of the larger 70mm bore.
Ease of fitment has been confirmed for the following vehicle/engine/mount combinations:
- 1992-1995 Honda Civics equipped with a K20 engine and Hasport EGK1 engine mounts
- 1996-2000 Honda Civics equipped with a K20/K24 engine and Hasport EKK2 engine mounts
- 1994-2001 Acura Integras equipped with a K20 engine and Hasport EGK1 engine mounts
- 2002-2006 Acura RSX-S/Honda ITRs with a K20 engine and all available engine mounts
Other chassis, mounts, and engine combinations can still utilize the RRC intake manifold; however, clearances between the radiator support, radiator, and hood may need to be addressed. For example, a 2002-2005 Honda Civic Si/CTR just needs some minor trimming of the upper radiator support in order to fit an RRC manifold into its chassis.
All mounting hardware is provided for attaching the adapter to the intake manifold and the throttle body to the adapter. Two rubber plugs are additionally included in order to plug the unused MAP sensor port located on the RRC intake manifold as well as the ability to plug the EVAP Purge Control Valve port if desiring to do so in order to gain additional hood clearances.
