As you track your vehicle and experience tremendous lateral G-forces while entering and exiting turns, your suspension geometry changes. This is common knowledge, but is often misunderstood. As your car experiences sideways forces, the upper and lower control arms change angles in relation to one another. Most people understand this part of the concept, and that the resulting change could pivot the centerline of the affected wheel in such a way as to produce a significant change in camber, resulting in less tire contact with the ground and, subsequently, poor traction and stability. What's not understood is that simply "dialing in" negative camber to counteract these effects is a patch fix that doesn't address the changing of the suspension geometry; it merely compensates for it.

The tradeoff then becomes less predictable handling during turns and loss of straight-line stability due to unnecessarily increased camber, not to mention avoidable premature tire wear. This problem is aggravated when the camber is changed by adjusting the angle at the upper control arm; the angles between the upper and lower control arms help determine a vehicle's roll center, and, where the roll center occurs in each side of the suspension.

To counteract this problem, Buddy Club has released the P1 Racing Extended Ball Joint, an extended ball joint that connects to the lower control arm, not the upper, thereby allowing a more correct and apt suspension geometry between upper and lower control arms to be maintained; this insures a more predictable roll center, especially when used in conjunction with an upper control arm camber adjustment kit. The roll center adjuster is an essential part of any tuned suspension on a street or track vehicle lowered 2 inches or more. Vehicles equipped with adjustable upper control arms or camber plates should consider these necessity.

alex martinez | October 9th, 2017
i got these for my 06 RSX type s YOU HAVE TO GET THEM PRESSED OUT unless you have the right tools for the job i for one didn't want to deal with it
Little issue bit turned out fine

Bought these when rebuilding my whole suspension. Guy doing machine shop work for 20+ years installed them. They were too big to fit in oem holes in my 06 Type s. He had to resize the opening a little before pressing them in. Cost a little more but fit fine after that. Not sure what the deal was but he knows his stuff and I did what he recommended so we didn't ruin anything. Car rides great but I did a lot at the same time so I can't comment on the difference these made. Would buy again.
Great Product

My right front ball joint started giving me a knock so I began shopping. I was going to go OEM for my 2006 rsx type-s but the ball joint only came with the knuckle. then I realized I'd have to swap over the hub and bearing. I found these and decided they were a higher quality product and a better bang for my buck. I installed them last night with a friend and they were surprisingly easy to install and the car handles amazing again.
Need specialty shop install
Tone capone | May 23rd, 2012
I first took These ball joints to pep boys to get them installed and I showed the mechanic the pictures that buddy clubs sent to me on how to get them installed and the mechanic still could not install them over there so I found shop that specializes in tuner cars, here in Tampa and they had to use a 20 ton press to get the ball joints in. We also installed some lower control arm bushings and end links
Bring your suspension geometry back after being lowered
